Information from Alex Cole, Bloodstock Advisor to Paul
Cole
“It’s
getting to that time of year where we all pull on our winter coats
to keep us warm and the same is true for horses. Both Stan’s
Cool Cat and Stan’s Smarty Girl look very well and are happily
eating up.”
Stan’s
Cool Cat
“After Stan’s Cool Cat’s run at the Curragh in the
Goffs Fillies Million, it has been decided to put her away for the
winter. She has grown throughout the year and had a good campaign,
meeting and beating some decent horses.
She really is
something to look forward to for next year, being out of a Saddlers
Wells mare, she should progress.
She will spend
the winter trotting and doing the odd canter to stop her getting too
frisky, you know what these girls can be like!”
Stan’s Smarty Girl
“Stan’s Smarty Girl, having grown and strengthened through
out the year, has since had a small set back which will only benefit
her in the long run.
She is having
her second week of her holiday in her box, but beyond that she will
be taken out every day for exercise. The advantage of racing in this
country is it never stops, so we will continue to train her and aim
to give her a race over the winter before next season starts. Both
horses are nice prospects for next year.”

"Stan's
Cool Cat disappointed in the Goffs Million at The Curragh on Sunday.
Her poor performance was attributed to the yielding ground conditions
by jockey Chris Catlin.
A most enjoyable day was had by the members who made the trip to Ireland

Stan’s Cool Cat
"Today was the final declaration stage for the Goffs Filles Million
and as expected 25 fillies remain in the race including Stan’s Cool
Cat. We have been given stall 14 which is ok, it will allow her to
break and sit nicely in the pack and hopefully when the time comes
allow her to make her challenge.”

Stan’s Smarty Girl
“After a bone scan at the vets it appears that Stan’s Smarty Girl has a hairline fracture of the off hind cannon bone. The cannon bone runs from the horses “knee” to “ankle joint.”
“There will be no detriment to her racing future, and after two weeks box rest she will back on the walker before moving back into training." Members log in and read more here

Stan's Cool Cat wins at Chepstow!
Chris Catlin tracked the leaders on the stands side. Switched left,
just over one furlong out, then showing a nice turn of foot inside
the final furlong to take the lead, and ridden out to give the syndicate
its first win by a length and a quarter.
Returned 7/4 Joint Favourite. Click here
